About Us

Hi There!

My name is Gillian and I am the owner and operator of Side Street Vintage Ltd. located at 4722, 51 Avenue in Leduc, Alberta.  I have lived in the Leduc Community & area for over 20 years and have spent most of my working career in the retail and customer service industry.  I am a lover of travel, antiquing, thrifting and hunting for treasures just waiting to be adopted and given another breath of life. I appreciate the art and history of fine craftsmanship and restoring old and forgotten pieces.  My favourite pastime is working with my husband to renovate and revamp our 1930’s farmhouse into a Mid-century meets industrial meets vintage antique dream home. 

Originally from Terrace, BC, my mother owned a ladies boutique and shoe store by the name of Sidewalkers. It was an eclectic clothing store with the main sales being Birkenstock shoes. I enjoyed spending time there with her and dressing mannequins every chance I got! I am sure that is where my love for unique boutique and fashionable finds came from.  As a teen I loved spending my weekends at thrift stores and Value Village, shopping for clothes and vintage items to redecorate my room with. My walls were lined with records and 1970’s band posters. 

Previously working in the travel industry, the Covid-19 pandemic ended that career path for me and spiraled me in another direction. I am so excited to finally have my own little shop to bring you gently loved and used ladies clothing as well as vintage home décor, lamps, art, and furniture!  I welcome local artisans to house their creations in Side Street Vintage as well and I am happy to have you support small local businesses.
