CONSIGNMENT INFORMATION

Please ensure the following:

1. Your clothes are freshly laundered.  Free from smoke, musty-smells, sweat, deodarant marks and stains. *All clothing items are steamed after pricing, SSV works hard to create an "odor-free" shop.  Steaming will amplify smoke, sweat and musty-smells if the items are not clean.

2. Free from animal hair, heavy lint, and pilling.

3. In good condition, free from fabric pulls, holes, over-stretched fabric or any other damage to the garment.  Please ensure you check pockets, buttons, zippers and snaps are all intact and in good working order.

4. Items should should folded nicely in a box, tote or bag. Please do not bring all of your items in on hangers, it takes more time for you appointment if we have to take everything off your hangers and switch them onto our own.

Side Street will decide if any exceptions are to be made on “brands not accepted”, due to the style, fabric, and wear of the garment.

Undergarments, Bathing Suits, Pajamas/Lingerie (vintage may be an exception), Prom/Wedding/Bridesmaid Dresses, Flip Flops, Hair Accessories, Some Costume Jewelry (depending), Suit Sets, Winter Boots, Heavy Winter Jackets, Children’s Clothing, Costumes, Socks/Stockings/Hosiery, Home Decor, Furniture, Housewares.  *List is subject to changes/edits*

Upon bringing your items to consign on your appointment day, SSV will process your items within 7 days (unless otherwise stated).  Once your items have been priced into our system you will receive an email with easy step-by-step instructions on how to access our consignor website. This website will allow you to keep track of all your items available at the store, items that have sold, and any account credit you may have. You will also receive an email when your 90-day contract is about to expire. (unless you have chosen donation as your end-of-contract option).  As your items sells through-out your 90-day contrat you will receive 40% of the final sale price.  During your contract period you may shop instore and use your accumulated credit, or want until the end of your contract to take an etransfer or cash payout. *In-store credit may not be used to purchase gift cards*

Side Street Vintage does its due diligence to properly research and price your items based on the overall condition and current market value of the used item.

Side Street Vintage proudly donates all non-floored or expired "donate" clothing/accessories to two organizations dear to our hearts.

- More Than A Fad, a non-profit thrift store in Edmonton that directly supports the Adeara Recovery Centre, an addiction recovery centre for women and their children.

- 2nd Glance a non-profit thrift store in Leduc that supports many local community groups.
