Owners, Sisters, & Creators behind Coal & Chaos. This little side hustle started in the fall of 2020. Two sisters, two creative minds and a Cricut machine...
As we all know, life can be a little chaotic, especially for full-time mother of two and part-time hairstylist Kelly. To escape daily life routine and craziness she came together with her sister Sam, a full-time travelling Registered Nurse, and got crafty! Making a workspace in their dad's garage to create, soon they were making quirky Tumblers, Mugs, Bookmarks, Signs and Apparel with the use of their Cricut. Selling at markets in the summer and a few local locations is a fun way to keep their creative juices flowing while bringing their customers a laugh with hilarious sayings, quotes and images. Looking for something custom? They can do that too!
The name Coal & Chaos pays homage to their father who spent their lives working in Coal Mining. Kelly & Sam hope you enjoy their product and that it can bring you a little joy in this sometimes, chaotic life!

Founder and creator of Saffire Pottery. This home-based hobby in Millet, started in the early 1990's. Joining a local pottery club approximately 30 years ago is what ignited the fire for Karen's love and enjoyment of curating handcrafted pottery pieces. Eventually making a home studio for her and her friends to enjoy creating together.
The name "Saffire" came about for several reasons including Karen's favourite colour as well as her favourite dessert, "White Wine Sapphire". The play on spelling to the word came about as "fire" is a key part of the pottery process.
When Karen is not sitting in front of her wheel and kiln, she enjoys other artistic outlets such as mosaic work, crocheting and painting. In the summer you can find her outside in her garden and going on adventures with her family and grandchildren.
Karen takes great pride in her craft and appreciates your support.
